garba outfit with jeans

The 9-day Navratri festival is all about food, dance, spirituality, worshiping, etc. The festival is celebrated in the whole country with full enthusiasm. It is said that if you fast these 9 days you detox and rejuvenate. Though, the whole country is involved in celebrating the same festival, in many of the regions the festival is celebrated differently and has different significance. Like in Gujarat, people dedicate the whole 9 days playing Garba wearing different colored outfits every day. While in West Bengal, people worship Goddess Durga and go pandal hopping between these 9 days.

The most exciting part of the festival is the Garba. People start practicing their moves two months prior to the festival. Things like dresses, jewelry, footwear, etc. are sorted out in advance so there is no chaos later. It is quite boring to wear the same old outfit every year. Well, it is not at all important to wear the traditional Garba dress all the time you can always jazz up your outfit a bit to stand out of the crowd. During the Garba performance, everybody wants look different and want to experiment with their looks.

Few fresh & unique outfit ideas that you can try this Navratri season:

Pair a long skirt with Kurta

This combination has been very famous lately and looks very unique and classy. Pair a plain kurta with a heavy skirt or vice versa. Throw a heavy piece of necklace and earrings with the outfit to give it a more sublime look. This combination fulfills the purpose of being traditional and besides that makes you stand out from the crowd.

The look of this outfit itself gives a comfy feel. Pair plain palazzo with a heavy worked crop top or blouse. You can put a jacket with this but the outfit looks perfect without it as well.
