For the Incredible Ones

Relations are essential part of everyone’s life. Through relations, people share love, care, affection and other emotions which build their bond stronger but besides these every relation also need the same amount of time to grow old and beautiful both inside and out. Witnessing every phase of relation is as beautiful as living every moment of it but entering the phase where we know now it’s the time to pass down the legacy is the most satisfying and relaxing phase ever but is not highly anticipated by most of the people.Generation gap
Though, the people during this phase share the most aesthetic bond with their grandchildren but being unaware of the generation gap,it creates complexities in relations. It is true that no combination of 26 alphabets can describe the bond among grandparents and grandchildren. Grandparents not only teach great propensities and put great qualities in the children but in addition they turn into their best musketeer with regards to having a ton of fun but there comes a time where individual faces a problem and call it in the name of GENERATION GAP.

We do often feel that people older than us are hard to understand or ever felt like people from generation ahead of us just don’t get us? Maybe it is right to say that the people find it convenient to connect with people who are closer to our age than those who are older or younger than us. Well this is the GENERATION GAP.

There are few Ideas that bridging the generation gap between grandparents and grandchildren alike will appreciate and enjoy.

Art and Craft :

We believe people are more creative when it comes to discover new things according to their interest. This activity provides you the quality of time to spend together. This could be painting on a blank canvas or try finding an art object which was left in the middle due to some other work and both can teach one another how to do it.

Play Fun Games:

However, playing a card game ,chess, board game or making up your own game to spend some quality time together would work.

Take a Walk:

Taking a walk on a scenic route,to their favorite park or with your pet will be good chance to have a conversation while enjoying the fresh air.generation gap bridge activities
Grouping together, the people of different age groups is not an easy task and that’s especially true of children and the elderly. Children feel that older people don’t like them and many oldies feel that children don’t like them because they think that they are slow and have nothing to talk about.
However, benefits of encouraging relationships between them include but not limited to

  • Encouraging children to accept all age group people, their capabilities and limitations.

  • Learning the methods of doing things.

Now, those children who respect their elders are much more intended to take care of them .Those who have shared more close emotional bonds to grandparents are more understanding and have patience in dealing with them. These children know they have to speak slower or louder around them.

Children should understand us through our behaviour how we want them to behave towards them

  • Activities that are planned must include both.

  • To teach children to show respect and care to them, one must practice it daily.

  • Elders can engage themselves in storytelling.

  • Children can read to elders and vice-versa.

  • Encouraging both to share interest in each other’s hobbies.

It takes time and effort to develop any kind of relationship, Bridging the generation Gap. At last,I would like to end up with a thank you note that though are way ahead of us but you are our most PRECIOUS GEMS, with whom everyone will cherish the time they had spend together.
