We millennial’s are all about saving time and finding ways to get the work done without any compromises. We sure are the laziest of all but no one can beat us when it comes to creativity. Be it life hacks or DIY’s the internet is filled with endless hacks claiming to make our lives easier. But in this clutter of ideas, it is so frustrating firing the arrows in the dark. But worry not my friend I’m here for your rescue, here in this article I have listed the some tried and tested must know kitchen hacks that you can use anytime.

Use an empty water bottle to separate egg whites and yolks

Kitchen hackIf you haven’t tried this hack then you are missing a lot of fun in the kitchen. A lot of cake and fluffy omelette recipes involve whipped separated egg whites and yolks. The hack is as simple as you read. Break the egg pour its yolk into a bowl, take a plastic bottle, preferably small, the one you can easily squeeze. Squeeze the bottle gently, touch the mouth of the bottle on the surface of the egg yolk and slowly release the pressure from the bottle, the air pressure will suck the yolk inside the bottle and voila! The yolk and egg white are separated.

You can use a spoon to help you peel fresh eggs more quickly

If you ask me, then peeling the shell off a boiled egg is the most boring part of the recipe. In case you just have to eat some boiled eggs right now and you only have fresh ones, you can add a little salt in the water with them and then use a spoon to crack one ends slightly and start peeling the shell from the inside. It’s incredibly quick and simple.

Get More Juice

One of the reasons why I feel super lazy to make lemonade is because it takes just too much effort to squeeze the lemon juice. But that’not it. Even after squeezing the lemon so hard I am just never satisfied, I feel like there is so much juice left in it. So this next restaurant tip will help you get the most juice out of your lemon in no time and pretty less effort.
1.Microwave a lemon for 7-10 seconds.
2.Then, roll the lemon back and forth under your palm on the counter. Now slice the lemon into half and squeeze. Boom! You’re done.

Hacks to keep away Spice BugsKitchen hacks for spices and nuts

I use lot of spices(Pav bhaji masala, Sambar masala,Chana masala, Jal jeera, kashmiri Mirchi) which I use once a week or may be longer so less uses means. Chances of getting the spice bugs. So I use to store them in freezer in dry section.  Even I use to store my dry fruits in freezer that prevent it from getting any bugs in it.

Make Herbs Last Longer

My mom always gets the herbs for free from the vendor, and soon within a few days before you know it the dried leaves are being thrown into the trash bin. Nothing is worse than seeing your precious herbs wilt the next day.

This next hack will help you keep your herbs like coriander and mint bright with this simple storage tip!

1. Trim the stems and wash the leaves.
2. Place them one cloth/towel so before storing no wet coriander is left.
3.Take tissue paper and place it inside the air-tight jar/container then place the coriander/mint .
4.Again place a tissue paper and store it in fridge .

You can store herbs in the fridge or on the counter for up to two weeks! Wrapping the leaves into the air tight containers prevents moisture loss and helps your herbs last longer.

Repurpose Your Pizza Cutter

Kitchen hack- pizza cutterA pizza cutter is not only restricted to cutting pizzas. The wheel of the pizza cutter is better than a knife when it comes to cutting herbs in all directions. In fact not only herbs, vegetables like beans, spinach etc. can be easily cut by the pizza cutter. Just bunch the vegetables and wheel back and forth until you’ve reached your desired consistency. This hack will not only save time but will make the process more fun.

Keep Green chili fresh for longer timeKitchen hack for green chili

Mostly we used chili and it get shrink in size so soon and can’t be used for longer time. I use to cut the stem of green chili and pack them in brown paper or newspaper. Now it is ready to use and it stay fresh for longer time.

Try the hack and let us know in the comment section below.I hope these hacks make your kitchen life more enjoyable and less worrisome. There are some Cleaning hack too, if you want to make home spick and span then try out these Cleaning hacks.

Happy kitchen time With Hacks .
