Social Media: Bright Side in Quarantine

Few days back we use to prohibit our kids using mobiles, tablets and laptops. Whilst the pandemic has taken the country by storm forcing us into a lockdown situation we are stuck in our homes. A grave situation has developed, humans are social beings and crave interaction. Unprecedented times demands unprecedented solution.

This is the time where Social media landed as a superhero. The internet which my mom and ” ME as a mom” cursed has turned a blessing in disguise in this lockdown.

Online ClassesNew challenges - online class

My kids are attending scheduled online classes. My 9 year old daughter is attending school on Zoom App, whilst my 3 year old son have took keen interest in his online piano lessons. Both my kids gets to see their friends during their classes which ends the monotony of learning on YouTube.

Zoom It

To my surprise, my father in law attends anushthans and meditation classes via Skype and Zoom App which connects him with his friends all over the nation. He is absolutely thrilled getting in touch with all of them online. He loves to hear Bhajan ,News on phone as no newspaper is available so he update himself from global information through internet ,social media, news apps.

Fun Learning Apps

Honestly telling you , before lockdown I never searched for fun learning app for my kids because that again lead to screen time and I want them to minimize the screen time. This lock down has changed my state of mind. I too had searched for the online classes and videos for children to keep then engage in a learning manner and to keep my kids spirit high.

This Fun learning App not only gripped my kids mind  but also mine too . I love playing word search and word puzzle. we also love to play ludo and chess online.

My hubby and my daughter beat each other score in lawn tennis.

If you followed me on instagram , you will know I have also started COOKING WITHOUT FIRE series.

Social ConnectivitySocial media connection

It give so much relief to see your loved one , infront of you not far off. Connected with my family and cousins with video calling through whats app . Social media like whatsapp, wechat, messenger bring close to our loved one.We shared positivity and laughter with each other. This keep away anxiety of lockdown.

As far as I am concerned I have occupied myself with reading ad writing blogs. Blogchatter A2Z is an amazing platform for doing so, simultaneously I improve my Alexa rank.
Love to read others blogs and challenge what to write for next topic. Put my thinking cap on and connect me to few great blogger friends like Noor,Roma,Arushi,Simrit,Sindhu,Ujjwal, Archana.

Meeting Without Pants

Work from home is going big nowadays. My husband attends his formal meetings online. It is interesting watching him all dressed up with his formal shirt and tie, comically with no pants (but in shorts)

I have named SOCIAL MEDIA

Yes, social media has given us many ways to improve our lives and in today’s time, it is helping us a lot. But at the same time, it has its own downfalls too. If we can find a balance between the two then that would be the ideal case.

Perfect summary to social media. I totally get the relate to it. Till few weeks back I was a culprit of school teachers in spoiling my kid by showing him screen and how times have changed now. The teachers want my son to stay online for 4 hours just for some class which he may not even remember or use in life.
