After having a superb vacation at Andaman and Nicobar, I recently visited the beautiful and cleanest city in the country. You must be existing to know what that city is. So, Indore is the city which I had visited.

INDORE popularly also called ‘Mini Bombay.’ Why? Because of its uncanny resemblance with the hybrid culture &; architectural splendour of Mumbai. The cultural capital of Madhya Pradesh is widely famous for its fantastic history, vibrant streets, and majestic monuments and how can we forget the Food which makes it more delicious as it has a flavour of Malwa. An individual can explore the joyful city at any time of the year as throughout the year it has pleasant weather.

Indore, which is situated in the tabular land of Malwa can make anyone adore the city due to its blend of glorious past and modern touch. Top attraction places that can make any traveler awestruck in Indore includes Rajwada, Lalbagh Palace, Sarafa Market, Central Museum of Indore, Patalpani Waterfall, Annapurna Temple and many more.

RAJWADA:

Opening hours: 10 AM to 5 PM

Ideal for: Photography, History and, Culture. The market around Rajwada palace is a shopaholic’s hub.

Rajwada palace is a 200-year-old palace which is one of the famous tourist places in Indore. The castle is a seven storey building which contains a beautiful garden along with fountains and human-made waterfalls. The entire palace is subdivided into two parts as one is a temple, and another one is a great grand palace. The Holkars of Maratha Dynasty are building it.

LALBAGH PALACE:

Opening hours: 10 AM to 5 PM. Closed on Mondays

Ideal for: Architecture, Photography and, History.

Another adorable place in the city which attracts the eyes of visitors is this palace which purely depicts the reign, lifestyle, and architecture of Holkars. The castle covers an entire area of 28 Hectares. To catch a glimpse of the majestic building one can visit between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This place is highly influenced by European style of architecture and has rich Persian carpets, exquisitely stained glass windows and so much to catch your attention.

SARAFA MARKET:

Opening hours: 9:30 PM to 2 AM

Ideal for: Lots of street food, family and friends’ fun, nightlife

In a single trip to the city, I have realized that it is the city full of food lovers. This is one of the best places I have seen in Indore. A night market full of delicious foods that can satisfy the taste buds. Being a die-hard foodie, I can’t resist myself to taste. The Bazaar converts into a street in the night which serves lip-smacking food. It is being said that the whole idea of turning the area around the shops into food Street is around a hundred years old. To get the actual local taste one should never miss this place of the city. Bhutta Kees, crispy garadu, khopra patties, egg benjo, jalebi are few of the popular dishes of the SARAFA Street.

KHAJRANA GANESH TEMPLE:

Opening hours: All seven days.

Ideal for: Spirituality and religion.

It is being said that the Ahilyabai Holkar has built the temple. The bhakts are the firm believer of Ganesha here as it is assumed that nobody goes disappointed from the temple. Along with the idol of Ganesha, there are also other temples of bhagwans from where you can take blessings at home.

CHAPPAN DUKAN

The land of food has so many fantastic eating destination and Chhapan, or 56 Dukaan is another famous location where you get mouth-watering food. The place has so much buzz and very vibrant atmosphere, especially in the evening.  Here, you will 56 shops offering the most fantastic variety of local elegance’s and taste. From appetizing panipuri to yummiest Johnny’s hot dogs, from breakfast to chat, momos to beverages this place has it all. The name is so known because of the 56 shops that present delicious food to visitors.

CENTRAl MUSEUM:

 

 The museum consists of historical heritage, sculptures, and some prominent figures. It is divided into two galleries in Gallery 1 has the aircraft from historical period while Gallery 2 consists of cravings based on Hindu mythology. It is also famous for amazing sculptures and architectural beauty.

With my personal experience, I will say once in your life you should visit this magnificent city with food at its best. If you are planning to attend the town then, don’t think about the weather has the city has average winter and summer temperature. So, this sums up the details of the few of the tourist’s places in Indore. Some other places one can visit are Annapurna temple, Tincha falls, Patalpani, Ralamandal, choral dam, Mandu, Gulawat, Gomatgiri, etc.
