Valentine Gifting Idea’s for long Distance Couple

Hola! Readers. Welcome to cupid’s month of the year. The month of love and expression, the month of commitment and making new memories, the month of chocolates and hearts.

While February is the perfect month for people in love, it is also an opportunity for all the single souls out there to express their love and finally get out of the “I’m Forever single zone”. But at the same time while everyone is super enthusiastic for valentine’s month there are some lost souls in the club who are not up for a party because the love of their life is miles away feeling the same. Yep! You got me to write. I’m talking about the impeccable pain of the people in a long-distance relationship. There is a charm of these relationships, as much as everyone loathes them, deep down inside long-distance relationships are nothing but a promise to stick together when all the odds are against you. The distance between two people who love each other steals the time that you could’ve been spent together and now all you do is miss them instead of being with them. But friends, just let go of all the sadness because I’ll tell you how to spend your valentine’s day, the special way.

Romantic Treasure Hunt

Long distance Valentine gifting idea- treasure hunt
A treasure hunt or a scavenger hunt is fun and one of its kind ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The best part is that with the help of technology you can easily plan a game with exciting gifts and riddles. Send your lover to their favourite bakery or a gift shop perhaps. Some planning and homework will help you to cater your relationship with excitement and endeavours that even distance between you two won’t bother much.

Plan a Digital Romantic Dinner

Online dating
No matter in which era we humans live in, nothing is ever going to beat a romantic candlelight dinner. Book a 5-star inn away from the commotion of the city into a serene and calm environment. Thanks to the internet, the saviour of long-distance relationships, you can now plan a virtual candlelight dinner and make your valentine evening more special.

Gift a Spa Appointment

Valentine gifting idea- spa
There is no way you can say no to a calm and relaxing body massage. Body massages not only relieves you from everyday stress but also boosts your immunity and soothes the mind. These days there is a vast range of options you can choose from and gift your love a stress-relieving experience.

Tickets to a concert

Here’s the thing about long-distance relationships, they not only celebrate your love for each other but also the individuality of oneself. So this valentine’s day ditch the traditional ways of celebrations and give your love an opportunity to feel the rush and your love at the same time.

Get them on a surprise spree

Long distance Valentine gifting idea
Well, this one’s my personal favourite. All you have to do is arrange surprise gifts all day at regular intervals. You can start the day with flowers and chocolates, even make something with your hand Valentine explosive box  order in their favourite food and pour in your love all day long. Maybe at the end of the day, you can surprise a visit and the joy is all yours.

Heat up the air

The social media rumour has it that the social media platforms such as Snapchat were invented for some super cool reasons. So come home early this valentine’s evening and light up your room with candles to set the mood right.

Pour in gifts

Now if you do not have the time to plan any event, don’t worry. You can always make the day special with gifts. Gifting is the most simple yet at times the complex way to show your emotions and make your loved one super special. So here’s a list of all the things you can consider to give your loved one the mushy feeling from miles away.

Message in a bottle

Long distance Valentine gifting idea- bottle message
Small scrolls of with love notes written on them are all that takes to make a message in a bottle. The small glass bottles with a wooden cork give these bottles a vintage touch and butterflies all over your stomach when you open them.

The distance lamp

Distance lamps are personalised tech in-built lamps which makes you feel special in a different way. It is not always easy to keep connected all the time even when we stay put to our phones all day. These lamps are connected to Wi-Fi and when either of the two touches their lamps the other lamp light-ups. Such a little and thoughtful way to say ‘I’m thinking of you’.

Hug me to sleep pillows

Long distance Valentine- hug me pillow gifting idea
Gift your love some cosy and cute pillows that they can hug till they fall asleep until you meet them the next time and cuddle them to sleep. These pillows will be an everyday reminder of your love for each other.

The “When we’ll meet we’ll do this” Jar

Long distance Valentine gifting idea
This is my personal favourite. A lot of time we see that we make plans with our bae that we’re going to do this and that but when you actually meet up you end up doing nothing fun sort and the time simply passes by and again you’re back to square one. So get yourself and your honey, a jar wherein you add all the things you want to do, the next time you meet. Keep the jar on your study table and each time you stumble upon the thought or daydream of going out you write it down and get on with your day. Until next time you both can swap the jars and voila! You have a personally curated to-do list of all the things you want to do.

Countdown clocks

Long distance Valentine gifting idea- Countdown
There is a subtle relief in doing the countdowns cos’ it is a reminder that with every passing day there is one less day to wait and see your love.

Coordinate Bracelets

These are personalised bracelets which have the coordinates of your location embedded on it.as much as they are super cool, at the same time they are a gentle reminder that miles away there is someone thinking of you.

The old Classic heart-shaped pendants

Long distance Valentine gifting idea- old pendant
Call me old school but all of us have grown to see these super romantic pendants in movies and books and at some point of time in life wanted them. So what are you waiting for? Order a pair and slip in your photos and keep them close to your heart.

World Map Wall Art

If you both are passionate travellers then it’s a great idea to get a map and simply lock in your future holiday destinations. You can put on green ticks of all the places you have visited and blue ticks for all the places you want to visit together

A mixtape

Long distance Valentine gifting idea- Mix tape
Since time immemorial music has been one of the best ways of expressing your love. So go on and download Spotify or any other music application and make a personalised playlist for your love.

Customised photo magnets with silly I love you notes

Long distance Valentine gifting idea- photo magnet
Photo magnets are super cool and trendy that you can’t say no to them. They are these gentle reminders of love which you get when you are super engrossed in work. You can get quirky love messages printed or your favourite picture from the last meeting on to the magnet and let time do the rest trick.

The photo book!

They never get out of fashion. Photo books are a momentum of captured moments that you’ll relish till eternity.

Food Hampers

There is no better way to pamper your loved one than showering their favourite food. You can either personally customise the food hamper and send it or order a wide range of products into a hamper and get it delivered at the doorstep.

Books hamper

Paper your favourite bookworm on the planet with all books that they’ve added in their cart but not hit the delivery button. Trust me there is no better joy than getting those books and finishing them as soon as possible. You can even get made personalised bookmarks to remind them of your endless love and affection.

Distance is nothing but a mere reason to love more when you truly care for someone. Valentine’s Day or propose day is nothing but a gentle reminder to celebrate the love that you have in your life. It is these small things that we do for each other which make our bond stronger day by day. You don’t have to spend a thousand bucks to make your loved one feel special, it is the intention of your actions that does all the trick. Your intention to keep the bond strong, your intention to keep the spark alive, the small actions, and the cute gestures you do every day helps you build the foundation of your relationships. Yes, distance impacts your relationship in various ways but at the end of the day, there is no mountain, no road that you cannot cross with the help of love. So don’t wait for special days to make your loved ones feel special and at the same time grab these small opportunities and define them your way.

This Valentine’s was a damp squib, largely due to the Mrs not feeling well. She chose to fall ill on the wrong day. But your suggestions are wonderful

Nice list. Message in a bottle still impresses me for some reason. I love the suspense I guess… And spa is any day loved by me for any occasion.

Long distance relationships are very tough to maintain and takes a lot to do so. I too am in 1, and missed spending the valentines day together, only such as above options have kept us closer.
